Captain’s Landing Waterfront Inn is centrally located in the heart of the Village of Ocracoke, directly on Silver Lake Harbor, and situated across from historic Howard Street.

Join us in any of our eight 1st or 2nd-floor Waterfront Hotel Suites, the Penthouse (entire 3rd floor) or Captain’s Cottage (next door) to relax and take in the sea breezes and inviting views of the Harbor and Ocracoke Lighthouse.

All of our accommodations are directly on the water and all offer harbor-facing views from their living areas, bedrooms, and private decks.

Many places to eat and shop are just a comfortable walk away. Enjoy exploring the Island from our convenient harborside location.

Wonderful time

By far the nicest place I have stayed at on Ocracoke. Wonderful staff even show you to your room and make sure you know how everything works. They also gave excellent suggestions for the local restaurants. The view was stunning!

amazing views, convenient location, and friendly staff

A friend recommended this place and it did not disappoint. My boyfriend and I stayed for a getaway and the waterfront views were exactly what we needed, and were so pleasant to wake up to. It’s so convenient and walkable to the shops and restaurants. It was clean, the staff was very friendly, and the kitchenette is a great addition. We will be back!

Amazing Fall Anniversary Getaway-Best Sunset View in Ocracoke!

Captain’s Landing was the perfect stay for our fall anniversary getaway in Ocracoke. Our room was comfortable, clean, and the perfect space for the weekend. I think we had the best sunset view in all of Ocracoke and loved seeing the lighthouse right across Silver Lake! We loved our private deck, and also had our morning coffee on the private dock with some friendly ducks. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We rented a golf cart from them for the weekend and they charged it up for us at the end of each night so it was ready to go in the morning. Everything about our stay at Captain’s Landing was perfect and we can’t wait to go back!

We had a great time staying at the Captain Landing. Extremely accessible to walking or biking to all the sites. Accommodation where very nice and clean. Beautiful sunset view from you private deck. Next time we will utilize the private dock to bring our boat. Can’t wait to come back.

We stayed here during the first week in September. The view of the harbor, Silver Lake, was amazing. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We will go back often, we love Ocracoke and Captain’s Landing.
